The Soprano Titanium cools the skin during treatment. You may still feel warmth or prickling, and your feedback helps your specialist assess comfort.

Comfort during treatment

Sensitivity during upper lip treatment varies with the exact area, settings, and your skin. Contact cooling supports comfort, but treatment is not guaranteed to be painless. Tell your specialist if a sensation is uncomfortable.

Your sessions and schedule

Your upper lip treatment schedule depends on hair growth, skin assessment, and response. Several visits are usually needed, and maintenance may be appropriate. Confirm the length of each appointment and the interval between visits at your consultation.

Discuss the area before you begin

Fine upper-lip hair is not automatically a good laser target. Discuss hair color, skin sensitivity, and the possibility of unwanted increased hair growth before choosing treatment.

Before your appointment

  • Tell your specialist about recent sun exposure, tanning, skin reactions, medications, and other treatments before your appointment.
  • Follow your personalized shaving instructions; avoid waxing or plucking before laser unless your specialist advises otherwise.
  • Ask which skincare products to pause and when. Do not stop prescribed medication without the prescribing clinician’s advice.

After your session

  • Follow the aftercare provided for your treatment area and ask when to resume exercise, swimming, makeup, or fragranced products.
  • Protect treated skin from sun exposure using the instructions and sun protection recommended by your specialist.
  • Temporary redness or tenderness can occur. Contact the clinic about unexpected pain, blistering, or worsening skin changes.

Will upper lip hair grow back thicker after laser?
Unwanted increased hair growth, called paradoxical hypertrichosis, can occur after laser hair removal. Fine facial, neck, or upper-arm hair needs particular assessment. If growth increases, contact your provider before continuing; electrolysis or another approach may be more suitable.
Do I really have to shave my upper lip before laser?
Follow your specialist’s shaving instructions for the area and timing. Shaving leaves the hair follicle in place, while waxing and plucking remove the hair that laser needs to target. Avoid irritating freshly treated skin and ask when shaving can resume.
How fast is an upper lip laser session?
We confirm appointment length once we know the areas you want to cover and your treatment plan. Allow extra time for your first consultation.
Is laser on the upper lip safe for darker skin tones?
We assess your skin, hair and recent sun exposure before recommending treatment. Discuss pigment changes, burns and the proposed settings; treatment may need to be postponed.
Waxing my lip always breaks me out: will laser do the same?
Tell us about the breakouts you get after waxing. We assess the skin before recommending laser, and laser can cause its own reactions. Hair reduction does not treat every cause of bumps.
What risks should I discuss before upper lip laser treatment?
Ask about burns, pigment changes, discomfort and increased hair growth. We review medications and recent sun exposure, explain aftercare and discuss when treatment should be delayed.
